Indy cracks whip in new trailer

LucasArts blows the dust off Dr. Jones' Fedora and hurls him into another adventuring archaeological romp
Spinning out of last week's Games Convention in Leipzig was new footage from LucasArts' next-gen Indiana Jones game, which we've now uploaded here for your eye-bleeding pleasure. It's erm, whip-cracking! Ahem.

Anyway, the in-game footage is contained within a trailer focussing on the euphoria technology that's being used in the title. What's on show is all backed up by narration by a very excited German person, and if only our knowledge of the German language went beyond 'zwei bier bitte', we could tell you what the hell he's going on about.

LucasArts has of course spilled the beans on the euphoria technology previously, explaining that, in a nutshell, it imbues in-game characters with more 'natural' behaviour. It not only adds an extra layer of authenticity to proceedings but additionally, because it all works in real-time, we'll never see the same behaviour or action or reaction from an NPC twice. Just watch the game footage - which features lots of Indy punching people - in the trailer and it'll all become crystal clear. Hopefully.

Indiana Jones 2007, as LucasArts new Jones game is currently called, releases for Xbox 360 and PS3 next year. Set in 1939, the game finds the hero hopping around the globe in an attempt to solve a juicy mystery.

Isn't this the trailer that has been on the Lucasarts website since E3?

can someone tell the difference between euphoria and just bog standard context sensitive scripting with a bit of ragdoll thrown in?
