Microsoft will introduce a £19.99 Platinum Hits range across Europe this month, which coincides nicely with the PS3 launch.
"Platinum Hits lets gamers enjoy a broad portfolio of titles at an amazing price and ensures that gamers can get the most from their Xbox 360 with a great library of blockbuster hits," said Jeff Bell, corporate VP of global marketing.
The Platinum Hits range has been doing the rounds in the US since last October. Forthcoming titles due on the budget label will include Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Burnout Revenge, Fight Night Round 3 and Top Spin 2.
Chances are these will form the second wave of Platinum Hits games for Europe.
Some of those games you list at the top are already available on the "Classics" line, if that's what you're talking about (I've seen a couple of them in their distinctive silvery boxes at the shops, myself, recently.) I was surprised that Revenge wasn't added to the original run. (especially since the US has had it as a PH for a while) I got it the other day for about that, new, so I don't feel "burned" by this news, and it is very good fun, too.
Also, you say the price is £19.99 for these; but is that a strategic realigning of the price for the full range to nudge them just below the twenty barrier...As usually they're priced at twenty-five?
Finally, you're aware, I assume, that the Classics line was launched last Autumn (around the 360's first birthday, iirc) so, Burnout, Battlefield MC, et al, would then be the THIRD set of titles to see budget 360 release? Unless...
I really am just totally confused now by your article, and/or Platinum Hits is launching in mainland Europe, while UK will retain the existing Classics line...
you have to had it to microsoft, they must be rubbing ther hands together, releasing fight night 3 on classic,£20 against fight night 3 ps3 £49.99, now let me see, which one shall i plump for.
Well since Sony have announced RRP of their games will be 39.99, which means you'll be able to get them at 29.99 online (basing that on the fact 360 games are RRP 49.99 but you get them for 39.99) I am sure Sony wont really be bothered.
I'm disappointed by that selection mentioned, I hope there will be more. There's a few I would get at that price.
Hmm... £20 XBox360 games or £50 PS3 games... such a tough decision
Read the news idiot boy
Oh dear, it seems you need to read, the £40 ps3 games are 1st party as in Sony (for people like you) so EA is 3rd party meaning £49.99...now do you understand?

Yeah 1st party ONLY and for limited time (could be 1-4 weeks for all we know) and you go look and find a ps3 game cheaper than £39.99 online and let me know!
