Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on PS3 will not launch alongside the console this Friday in Europe as previously expected.
Ubisoft, which is publishing Oblivion PS3 on these shores, has said before that the version of the role-playing would appear with the machine in March but according to retail Oblivion PS3 now has an April 27 release.
We've contacted Ubisoft for further details and will let you know when we get a response.
Oblivion isn't the only big third-party title to miss PS3 launch day. FPS F.E.A.R. is now expected on April 20 and Splinter Cell: Double Agent on March 30.
Hmmm, Gameplay.com have it listed as 6th April with the PS3 versions of Rainbow Six Vegas out 27th April, Splinter Cell: Double Agent out 30th March and Ghost Recon A.W. 2 out 15th June 2007, all from Ubisoft.
If you're a fan of the game you'll already have played it on either of the existing formats.
If you are buying a PSŁ you're doing so because of the "earth shattering" exclusives and not for ported versions of games that have been out for anything up to a year already. Aren't you?
i had it for my 360 and enjoyed playing it ,but as soon as i heard it was coming out for the ps3 i traded it in. i believe i will have a better gaming experience on my ps3 ,the game on 360 used to crash alot and did not run well, luckily for me i did not get very far on my 360
ha. PS3's first probable AAA has been delayed. Plus PS3 owners will have to wait even longer for the Shivering Isles expansion while us 360/PC owners will be playing it very soon
Ah yes, but u have to pay extra for the Knights of the Nine, also there is 3 more exclusive quests only for the PS3 and the graphics r ill admit only slightly improved, but all in all it will b worth the wait.
