Climax quiet on Silent Hill Origins PS2

Portable prequel tipped for console release
Climax has refused to comment on emerging rumours today that it is currently working on a PS2 port of Silent Hill Origins, currently out on PSP.

According to reports, a newly surface fact sheet has revealed that Climax, who admits on its website that it's working on an un-announced PS2 game, has been handed porting duties to bring the PSP horror to PS2.

Origins throws players into a storyline set before the events of the classic original Silent Hill, which uncovers some the secrets left previously unanswered. Improved controls and a more intuitive battle system are other highlights.

Calls to Climax got us nowhere as the company stated it "can't discuss such matters". A Konami spokesperson also refused to comment on rumours and speculation.

when the psp can't quite keep its 'exclusives', I do see the point of ninty making sure the ds and wii were similar but different to ensure that games like cooking mama weren't the same game on both formats...just a crying shame the psp always gets shafted with a 'worse looking, worse-controlling port', and i'm miffed cos i bought silent hill knowing it would only appear on the psp...what next, GoW chains of prometheus on the ps2???
