There's no reason whatsoever that Lego Batman shouldn't be quality, considering it's coming from Lego Star Wars crew Traveller's Tales. New screenshots have been released.
Obviously you slip into the Caped Crusader's boots - and sidekick Robin's - and crime-bust in what we're promised is an "interactive" Lego Gotham City (whatever that means), but Warner Bros. has whispered in our shell-like that players will additionally get to control villains in the game.
The story unfolds, we're told "with Batman's greatest foes escaping from Arkham Asylum and creating mayhem throughout Gotham City. Tracking criminals, including The Joker and The Penguin, players will utilize Batman's gadgets as well as build and operate fantastic vehicles in one or two player cooperative gameplay."
Not sure this will work, the Star Wars Legos were popular with the Star Wars fans, but is it the same for the Batman fans? Will the star Wars Lego fans buy this too?

Yea, Star Wars has a big following - and even non star wars fans have still probably seen the films and/or have fond memories of them.
Personally I hate superheroes and all that crap and I don't know one person who likes Batman as a franchise.
I do know people who liked say, the first and last Batman films, but would probably see them as good individual films rather than a good franchise.
Bottom line, I think Star Wars Lego generated a lot of buzz, Batman Lego seems a poor substitute.
I hope lego batman and lego indiana jones will be as fun as lego star wars the complete collection has been the last few days on the 360. I overlooked it originally, but it's actually a very good game.
I think this is as good a setting as any - instantly recognizable characters (even for people that have never seen the films/tv series, like my mother). Plus, judging by the last games - they are huge amounts of fun, especially played in hotseat mode (and not many PC games have that option!)!
I'm glad they're using the 60's Batman rather than the modern moody batman. Anyone who's seen the 60's TV show will agree.
They ARE using the modern 'moody' batman. This is based more on the comics, and the comics have always been moody. The TV show was......well, good for the wrong reasons heh
