Ubisoft and Free Radical have revealed the latest release date for PS3 exclusive, Haze. Again.
This time "May 2008" is the projected date for the shooter, which was last due Christmas '07, and originally months before that as well. Let's hope the extra effort proves worthwhile. Free Radical, at least, thinks it will:

"While we can't explicitly say what improvements we've made (I'd love to tell you all the cool stuff we've been putting in!... but I also love my job too...), I can guarantee you that the extra bit of time has made a big difference for the better," a company staffer recently teased on the Ubisoft forums.
Watch the new trailer and hope the improvements he's hinting aren't just "better FMV videos".
Well, I've still got my preorder for June of 2007 standing strong. Went into gamestop and paid off the rest of it and put GT5P on preorder as well. I'll admit that while my hype isn't as high as it was back in November, I'm definitely still amped for this. Sounds like a toooon of fun!
Too many old cynics on these forums nowadays! Cheer up you miserable lot! By the time Haze does come out then I am sure that most Ps3 owners will start getting excited again. These guys know what they are doing and if it takes 6 months of extra work to realise their vision then so be it.
Unless it's a game that amazes me it'll just be another 'meh' release. The hype surrounding this game has all but evaporated into thin air right now and the fact it's being kept secret exactly what they have been doing with it for months does worry me slightly.
Fingers crossed it'll still deliver because if it doesn't then it'll be the biggest disappiontment of 08.
Let's get to the truth here... The game was first delayed as they moved the development focus from 360 to PS3 due to Sony paying for an exclusivity period. The game was delayed again because Ubisoft didn't want the game to get lost in the sea of FPS games that were released in Fall 2007. Thus extra time was put into polishing the game and they now plan to release the game in a period where they is little else in terms of FPS games to take any attention away from it. A 360 version will more than likley appear 6 months later, ie most likely Oct/Nov.
Personally I've seen enough of this game to give it the 'meh' rating. It doesn't have anything to make it stand out in an over populated genre. Instead I think I'll wait for the next Timesplitters for my dose of Free Radical love.

Not Just too many cynics too many Sony rear end cleaners as well
I've never been interested in this game it has generic written all over it, unless it reviewed & is the best thing since t**s, I'll let this one go, i can live without another FPS with a guy in a space suit....
"They told us it would be released, They let us play Halo 3 instead, And they put me off the game. It made me feel theres no chance, But for every hype theres no proof, Now i'm not buying the game. HAZE."

Ah No. Haze was and is confirmed (on video as well) that this is a PS3 ONLY exclusive and all development on the other platforms has stopped.
I must admit that I don't seem so excited about haze now as I was a while ago. The hype seems 2 have gone with all these delays. However, it is made by free radical who made timesplitters so it may be good. I'm glad it's not over hyped as 2 much hype can raise expectations, I mean look at halo 3, that game was over hyped and it turned out 2 be s**t. I may get it if it turns out 2 be good, and if I can get the money 2 buy it.

I know what you're saying about 'yet another shooter', but have faith. Free Radical don't do 'generic'.
Personally, I'm convinced that this game will rise to the very top of PS3 shooters.
What's buggy about UT3? I was going to buy it but you've put me off now. What do others think?
Go on GameRankings or Metacritic and take their opinions instead of one random forum person. Then you shall be enlightened.

Hell yeah! If Haze is good, then good news for Free Radical all around. If Haze isn't up to snuff, then at least they got TS4 as a safety net. The trailer had me loling.
