First screens of Sega's Incredible Hulk

Bruce Banner lined up for every console on the market
Coinciding with the new film, Sega has scheduled the release of the movie tie-in game, The Incredible Hulk, for June 2008 on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DS, PS2 and PC.

The game will feature moments from the film, as well as additional plotlines and characters drawn from the Marvel universe.

Taking control of the Hulk himself, players can smash through anything in their paths and even use the debris as weaponry. According to Sega, damage is persistent and gamers can use it to gain access to otherwise unreachable areas.

Like the Spiderman games, the Manhattan skyline plays a major part in the gameplay as the Hulk can traverse skyscrapers like a greener, angrier (and more agile) version of King Kong.

Sega also promises that the game will reference other Marvel comics and include a wealth of sub-quests and mini games.

And the first screenshots below look quite nice, too.

Could the old trend of rubbish comic-book games be over?
Marvel Ultimate Alliance was great. Lego Batman looks great. The Darkness was fantastic. Iron Man and Hulk games both look good...
Maybe companies are finally realising that people want these games to fulfill their fantasies and are actually putting effort into them.
*salivates*
The only thing that concerns me about those screenshots is some rather low textures on the scenery, and lack of populated streets. But as it's promo screens I shall forgive that.
Though tbh I'm more looking forward to the Iron Man game... that looks sweet, like everything Superman Returns should have been on 360

I loved Hulk 1 and Hulk: Unltimate Destruction.

Cant wait for this!!!

But Spidey has already has his great game. Or at least one of them. Supes deserves a similar treatment.

Oh, and anyone else think there may be a Lego Spidey game on the horizon? There's been actual Lego Spiderman stuff out there for ages.

I agree but im very dubious about LEGO Batman as Travellers Tales are the emperors new clothes in terms of developers.

I would love to see a decent Daredevil game though...

Yeah - I'd agree with that, add on the fact that both Iron Man and the Hulk are attached to films (the ol' movie tie-in syndrome) and your hopes tend to diminish a little more.

Still, no point in writing them off just yet - Iron Man looks like a lot of fun (if maybe a little limited), Lego Batman will be brilliant and Hulk doesn't look too shabby based on this.

....Batman is the best hero - when are we going to get a good (non-Lego)Batman game???

Ah, but there has been. The Adventures of Batman and Robin (?) on the SNES, based on the animated show was great, and the game based on the Keaton/Nicholson movie was cool too. Only had it on the Spectrum, but even on that it was cool. I understood that the Amiga/ST version was brilliant. How I wished I had one of those back then Smile

Edit: I also seem to recall another Batman game, the Caped Crusader I think. That was cool too.
<does a quick web search>
Yup, 1988, Batman: The Caped Crusader. It was groovy. Two stories in it too, though I recall one being significantly better than the other.

Batman on the Amstrad was superb, I loved the car sections. However I couldn't get past level 4 Crying or Very sad

Played the 16 bit version which played well as well. Ocean were the king of Batman licenses.

I had Batman Forever on the Saturn, a big regret that purchase.

Just read about Batman Vengeance too. Man, no idea how I managed to miss this first time round, but it sounds top... Dammit...

This is bound to be (just from the looks of things), just like the Spiderman games, except with the Hulk - a definate miss for me so far.

Surely Superfrog must be your favourite hero - he is your Avatar after all!!

That was a quality platformer as well - not quite Titus the Fox mind you though!!
