New information regarding Rockstar's L.A Noire has emerged, hinting that the PS3-exclusive title could come to the Xbox 360 after all.
According to rumours, since the title is no longer being funded by Sony there is every possibility of the detective game coming to Microsoft's console.
Previous reports hinted that the game was simply too big to fit on a DVD, but they were quickly debunked.
The rumours went to claim a number of other details on the title, including developer Team Bondi's goal to have every NPC in the city feature a distinctive personality, the quantity of jazz music is comparable to the amount of contemporary tracks in the Grand Theft Auto series, and the detective mechanics have been polarising, with some finding them boring and others innovative.
Right, this seem to be a new trend, im not sure if its the developers fault or if its the press & web site's just desperate to make a news headline for the day. But! can it please f**king stop!... this, "its an exclusive for PS3", "its now coming to 360", "now its a 360 exclusive!"... this trend is beginning to really f**k me off all it does it provided fuel for the fanboys, & if a game is that lame (haze) that the only way they can seem to drum up some interest in it is to keep swinging the carrot from one camp to another i'd rather the game just never saw the light of day!.... (got out of the wrong side of the bed today, so watch it)...

It's worse if you get out of the wrong bed!
Really? Depends whose bed it is I suppose, and how hot she is
There hasn't been any official announcement on whether this will be making its way to the 360 yet, it's speculation being drummed up to get people to read the article.
I agree with hollywood111 that the shift of exclusivity is becoming ridiculous, Bungie & BioWare neither solely exclusive to Microsoft anymore etc... etc... A lot of smaller developers are being bought out, with parent companies being multi format to re-coup the massive development costs there usually isn't much choice.
However I think some of the problems are stemming from difficulties developing for the PS3, many have claimed this, EA have openly admitted it and Capcom... well they just can't get it right can they? (20 minute install times, 5GB game data, no Street Fight Beta...)
Once these problems have been ironed out perhaps then we'll see some actual exclusive titles, though there is still many to come (FFXIII, Metal Gear Solid 4, Infamous, LittleBigPlanet, Heavy Rain, Getaway)
Wouldn't bother me either way. Rockstar haven't produced an AAA game outside of the GTA series so why would this break the mould? What I do find funny is that when something's PS3 exclusive, they try to big is up saying 'Omgz, this simply can't fit on DVD9 and can't be done on 360', and yet when they end up coming to 360, like DMC4 did, 360 ends up getting the better version...
Be great if it does make it to the 360 - then I'd have absolutely no reason to buy a PS3, there's nothing else on the schedule that appeals to me.
Either way, like the sound of this title a lot. One to definitely keep an eye on....
little to nothing has been announced about this game, yet this was the absolute only reason you wanted a PS3? not that i'm judging you, but thats a strange view to have.
in any event, it seems that Sony is relying less on exclusives and more on the fact that it's the cheapest, the best, and the only upgradable Blu-ray player to help push PS3 sells. a rather risky road to tread, if you ask me, but i can see no other reason why they wouldn't fund as many exclusives as they can, unless they assume LA Noire isn't really worth it.

Well, I already have a 360 - so, I would only buy a PS3 based on exclusives and I just really haven't had any (other than LA Noire) catch my attention. I'm a big fan of story and atmosphere in games and I like things that have something a little different to keep my attention - add to that the fact that it's R* and you'll always get my interest.
Other exclusives coming just really don't excite me at all and I really don't feel the need to buy into the Blu-Ray thing at this point in time.
Don't get me wrong - I have absolutely nothing against Sony or any kind of allegiance to MS....I just don't feel the need to own both the 360 and PS3 right now......I'm hoping that will change, but LA Noire might have changed my mind sooner.....having said all that, it could very easily turn out to be crap (OK, I'll admit it - I thought Lair looked promising )

What is the reason for Sony stopping funding? Anyone know?
Maybe the game was running way over the budget that Sony put up & did not want to continue pouring money into it?
Anyway if Sony are no longer funding this game & it's cost is running high then I can see the appeal in a 360 version as they can port over the work they have done on PS3 pretty easily & make a lot more cash on a multi format release.

People say this about huge games like FF or MGS, games that were known as disc fillers last gen, no one's saying that about smaller games anymore, they know better.
Either way, is this worse than a game looking absolutely fantastic until it's a Ps3 exclusive? Or a Ps3 exclusive being slated, and then suddenly "Oh! It's multi-plat now? Cool! This was the only Ps3 game I wanted!"
Well for a start...the words LA and Noir go together in much the same way as pork and islam. Really doesn't sound like game of the year to me and quite frankly maybe rockstar should try and do something a bit different....sounds a bit of a GTA rehash...which also is past its sell by date. I sometimes think i'm the only person on the planet that isn't wetting themselves over GTA IV! It really p**ses me off that game developers make a really original inovitive game and then spend years making sequels, 2007/8 are the years of sequels...Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Devil may cry 4, Gears of War 2, Unreal tournament 3, Fable 2...the list goes ever on! SOMETHING ORIGINAL PLEASE!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!

COD4 rocked the house and GTA IV will too stop moaning.
I'd just like to take a moment to say a huge "I told you so, nah-nah-ne-nah-nah" to all of those PS3 fanboys who got upset and argued for many a page on that last La Noire article comments thread, when I told them that there were no technical reasons that the game could need Blu-Ray, and wouldn't be possible on the X360, and that the entire story was in fact a big hairy lie.
So, here we go:
"I told you so, nah-nah-ne-nah-nah"
Right, now that's done, who wants to argue about which pizza delivery place is the best? Domino's rules, Pizza Hut sucks!
You're right, Domino's does rule and Pizza Hut does suck! I am just happy MGS is at least coming to PS3, I think literally every game seems to be either jumping ship to the Xbox or being a crap version on the PS3. I was worried Konami might not even end up bringing MGS out on PS3 as the PS3 has been absolutely pathetic on the games front and it doesn't look that great in the future. Hopefully that can be sorted out with games like LA Noire, hopefully...
You can't really complain about Sony. They didn't invent social gaming but they improved it immensely. I'm reminded of an old proverb " Who's a fool? The fool or those that follow the fool? I can't really see Sony being foolish enough to not only lose all their quality 3rd party exclusives with DLC only available on their biggest competitor but to stop funding a game that maybe had as much interest as GTA IV is madnes. Which leads me to think that their in house exclusives could be something special. I think that only the most rabid xbot would disagree with me when I say that Sony's first party developers are some of the most ingenious aroun. Go on about Banjo-Kazooie, if its better than Ratchet and Clank,Jak and Daxter or Sly Cooper I will put my own testicles in my mouth.

Guess you're forgetting...
Bioshock Army Of Two (okay, poor, but a new IP) Assassins Creed Crackdown Mass Effect
some of the biggest titles of last year, which happened to be new IP's.
then there is...
Dark Sector Tom Clancys EndWar Alone In The Dark Alan Wake Huxley Prototype Halo Wars (old IP, new genre) Dead Space Too Human Fracture Mirrors Edge Pure Project Origin
and...
LA Noire.
and all of those are pencilled in for 2008, without the unannounced new IP's companies will no doubt have.
Great that this may come onto the 360 though, sounds promising.
You might wanna erase Alone In The Dark from your list, for fear of utter, utter ridicule being placed upon you by the next person to read this thread...
They've already done four games in that series, as well as two horrible movie spin-offs.

Yeah, Dominos does indeed rule....
I read that Red Dead Revolver 2 will be a PS3 exclusive - seems a little odd that they would choose that over LA Noire as an exclusive (considering the reviews that the first game got)....
I honestly think that the 360 will never see MGS4, I think it'll be a true exclusive - but, Konami have stated that it will be the last console exclusive that it will ever release, due to the development costs....you have to wonder if others will follow suit, it's got to be far more profitable to release a game on as many platforms as possible.
