The game's set in modern-day Manhattan where Alex Mercer - or the Prototype - has the ability to shapeshift and smash people into tiny bits of flesh, thanks to some dodgy gene modification work.
What follows is an epic three-faction scuffle between yourself, the military and the hordes of monstrous mutants which are tearing through NYC. Basically, it's like what would happen if Cloverfield went to Liberty City.
It's still down for a vague release date in 'summer'.
I just hope it doesn't force you to unlock powers/abilities/shifts? as you progress, I want them all available and I can do whatever I want with them sand-box style.
One thing I want to know, is how the fupp does his hoody stay up in place while doing all this crazy stuff? When I go jogging, my hoody never stays on top of my head
