A new F-Zero game for Wii will be unveiled by Nintendo at E3, currently named as F-Zero Z.
According to German website Nintendo-Planet.de, the new title will feature all the tracks of F-Zero GX and include an online mode.
More cryptically, the site also states that "a weapon system has also been confirmed". We imagine that has more to do with the Babel Fish translation missing something subtle in the language, though.
I don't think F-Zero has ever really been "big" like Nintendo's BIG franchises. I've always liked the F-Zero series, however. If it does include the tracks from GX, I hope its easier, because that game was a bitch.
I would actually like to see a new Pilotwings game. We haven't had one since Pilotwings 64 (beautiful game) and I think it could make excellent use of the Wii remote.
Although F-Zero would be welcomed as another decent online racer. The big announcement will no doubt be something else.
Pilotwings, Star Fox or a new Super Punch Out are on my wanted list. I'm also looking forward to more details of this possible "Pit" game from Factor 5, and Animal Crossing Wii online info... please let us write what we want to our friends this time oh and keyboard compatibility would be very welcomed too!
I've never been too excited about F-Zero although i have fond memories the first one.
I do, however, believe that you guys already know what the big E3 announcement is. And i think it would be a somewhat major upset if it was just F-Zero.
I'd prefer a Pikmin game although i never finished Pikmin 2 which i'll have to do at some point. Also a Pilotwings game is obviously what a lot of people want. Or can Nintendo make Shenmue 3 for me???!!! Mmmm, come on Sega! Arghhh!
This could be the game that Reggie (whatever his bloody weird name is) was talking about, which is - personally - quite a disappointment. I would have been hoping for another platformer/or something bloody good. A sequel is something that wouldn't get the 'casual' audience going. I reckon a new IP is needed from Nintendo, one that will stand out. They've gone too long on the back of Mario.

I doubt that this will be the "big" announcement, although it would be welcome to the Wii. Who knows what that big announcement might be. I also think that Pikmin won't be one either. That's not a 'big' game as such.
I think Nintendo will be bringing us new IPs. The 'Wii' series, though not really an actual 'IP' is one way forward. Yes, its more for the 'casual' gamer but I reckon they will bring new IPs some time in the near future...
agreed. F Zero was never a huge series. It has its core audience, but never big like the other popular N franchises.
To be honest, I'm expecting a new game from the revived Kid Icarus line, especially with Pit being in SSBB. They introduce him, and then come back with the big punch and release a game starring him.
Also, Im expecting a RE5 for Wii to be announced at E3 by Capcom.
I really loved F-Zero X (never played, originally at least, the SNES two), it was one of my favourite '64 games. GX was kind of a let down, it being so bloody difficult - it was frustrating. If Ninty/Sega can sort out the difficulty, then I'd love this. Especially the online mode.
Would be a shame if it's the big announcement, though (as has been already said), I thought that F-Zero Wii was pretty much expected.
But weapons? They can shove that up their bottom if it's true!
great news, and i bet it will be a looker too,f-zero gx still impresses to this day and is still the fastest moving racer around, heh they even might hav to slow it down as it was too quick which made it harder to react.they should hav no proplem updateing the visuals and fx and maintaining the 60fps now with wii's extra power.cant wait.
