Resi 5 video - now in English

Hurray, we can now understand what producer Jun Takeuchi is saying
Cheers, Capcom, for adding English subtitles to Famitsu's lengthy video interview with Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi.

It's been posted up on Capcom's blog, and runs for nearly 14 minutes. So if you wanted to know what Takeuchi was discussing if you'd seen the video before, well, now you know.

Takeuchi covers numerous topics connected with the sequel including the influence of light and dark on Resident Evil 5, the setting, the game system, characters and fighting elements. His words are interspersed with gameplay footage and behind-the-scenes stuff. It's definitely worth a watch.

Resident Evil 5 "is shaping up to be something incredible", says Takeuchi. Great! Now how about that release date?

How about announcing the Wii version of RE5 already? We know its coming, Capcom. We saw the cash you made on RE4 and Umbrella Chronicles for the Wii. Very Happy

Even though this looks amazing , i cant help but think about how my brain wont be getting eaten but rather they are going to get smashed about, I hope some later levels involve a bit of munching on old chris(oo er) cos thats wot makes res great ZOMBIES !!! Twisted Evil
waltyftm on 11 Apr '08
I mean come on what is the point of a wii version?
It will look awful compared to the proper next gen consoles, and on the wii you will have to have a max of 4 zombies running at chris or it will be slowdown time, unless the zombies are renderd as stick men with little red dots as eyes..

On the subject of zombies eating brains, if I was playing chris they wouldn't even bother with me as they would somehow know my lack of spelling ability thus deducing that there would be nothing to eat in my vacant skull.

the point is obviously motion control which has already been a success with the other wii resi games. Graphics will be more than acceptable too.

Well 'x68000' you are welcome to prove me wrong when the resi 5 wii screenshots come out.
harvoid on 13 Apr '08
Originally PS2 was not powerful enough for the Resi 4. That came out and it was great. No reason why they can't do a Wii version. Of course it won't look as good but Capcom know how to program.
