Siren goes episodic

With an omnibus show on Sunday
Sony's spooky Siren: Blood Curse title will be made available via PSN episodically. That bit about an omnibus showing on Sunday was joke, it wouldn't work as well as Eastenders.

Siren Blood Curse is coming to PlayStation Network in twelve "TV-style, suspense-packed downloadable episodes this summer" Sony has confirmed. Pricing, or a specific start date, has yet to be made available. As is info on how long each episode may take to get through.

The official line on the story is: "The horror-survival title is set in the Japanese village of Hanuda, where a TV crew from America arrive to research the legend of the Vanished Village where human sacrifice is said to have taken place thirty years ago.

"Players discover the horrific curse that haunts Hanuda and battle to save the village's survivors from the living dead - a spine-tingling struggle that involves using the unique Sight-Jack system to view events from the angle of your undead pursuers. In a gaming first, Siren Blood Curse will be released episodically, keeping gamers on the edge of their seats until the next download arrives in PSN."

Watched the trailer last night looks very good, just my sort of game. Love the idea of down loadable episodes this sounds like a winner.

Heres a new take on how to fleece us.

Make a great game, chop it up into 12 chunks, and charge £8 per 'episode' - total cost to the customer £96.

I know the pricing hasnt been announced, but I bet I am close Rolling Eyes

Oh, great. Rolling Eyes

Siren 1+2 are personal favourites of mine, but im dead against dl only & epsiodic games so unless they do a disc version with it all on I wont be getting this.

I'll wait to see how much they are - the psn games they released in the uk yesterday for £5 - it'll also depend how long they are.
