Lord of the Rings Online mini-game released

Beer and axe-throwing. Nice and safe, then
Codemasters is pimping the second promotional mini-game for Rings Online expansion, Mines of Moria.

It's free to play, but registered participants can challenge friends and unlock videos, images and in-game items that will aid them when Mines of Moria is released.

The game, dubbed Swig and Toss, is an axe-throwing competition with beer. It's your job to get fairly leathered and toss axes into a target whilst under the influence of alcohol.

We had a go, but we think our real life hangover caused by real life beer has deadened our co-ordination. Either that or we're just rubbish.

You can play the game at the official website, along with the first mini-game King under the Mountain.

I'm sure this mini game is almost the exact same as in an old Amiga game I used to play, called Heimdall 2...

It was ace. Mind you, the graphics weren't as good, natch...

Wow showing your age there! lol. I thought the bonus game where you would throw the axes at the blonde maiden's pigtails was in the first Heimdall game? Great game mind you!

Ah, you might be right, been so long since I last booted up my Amiga 500 or A1200, so I can't remember.

Those were my thoughts exactly when I read about the mini game. Mind you I couldn't remember the name of the game at all. I was just a very young nipper then.
