A splattering of new info on Resident Evil 5 has come from the pages of Famitsu that says there's be a new trailer soon.
The nuts and bolts of the info has been rounded up in a NeoGAF post, which says a new female character (shown holding a shotgun, wearing a tank top and boots similar to Jill's in RE3) will appear.
From the info gleamed it sounds like Capcom is looking at making light and dark areas of the environment dynamic in terms of how the game will play. According to the post 'there will be an intense contrast between light and dark'. How that'll go past 'I can't see in the dark' to 'oh, I've got a flash light now I can see' remains to be seen.
Famitsu has got its hands on new artwork too, which depicts "Chris fighting villagers near a crashed helicopter, that same helicopter flying amidst a smoke-filled sky, and Chris witnessing the helicopter being shot down." Someone, or something, crash lands then.
We'll keep a look out for the trailer and let you know when you can see it.
I think the contrast between light and dark will be an HDR lighting effect or something similar, whereby the dark areas will take a few momnets for your eyes to adjust and vice versa, which seems to be what the videos have shown.
Yes finally some news on Resi 5!Really hope this gets released this year like some of the rumours have been saying and not in 2009. . . thats gonna be a budget busting year for games.
Ive heard that dreams, and to a greater extent, nightmares, are your brain's subconcious methods of working through your thoughts, fears, and emotions in a way that causes you the least stress, ie, when you sleep, you are less likely to be distracted / worried by these thoughts. Furthermore, the method of processing these, shall we say, negative instances, usually occurs in almost a dream world in an environment which you are comfortable in. In other words, a videogamer will work through their fears and guilt in a videogame themed environment.

Ok, bulls**t aside, ive had dreams of resident-evil flavours, but usually its because theyre my favourite games and kicking zombie ass is so goddamned awesome.

This is definitely one of my, if not the, most anticipated games at the moment. Loved Resident Evil 4, and played it quite abit. Can't wait for the 5th game
Idk why but i would love to see it online. I think zombie vs humans would be good, especialy if they have their own strengths and weaknesses. Like humans being faster, having armour, more weapons and ammo. And zombies being more stronger and inflicting more damage when in hand to hand combat. Well maybe im getting a bit carried away, but still its gonna be a very good game... i hope
Won't mind a blast on this played pretty much all the resi evils (minus the nintendo ones) liked them all. Will definatly get it but not eagerly awaiting it.

I SECOND THAT HANDS DOWN - THIS is the game i will gladly stand outside GAME for at 12am and feel no way, and yes i will be booking a WEEK off work to coincide with it's release also.
GTA IV is the nuts, great game, but RESI will always be my all time fave. Resi 2 and 4 being my high points
