New Turok movie to star... some bloke

Fittingly Native American Adam Beach to lead upcoming live action film
It has been revealed that the roll of Turok in the new live action Turok film will be played by US actor Adam Beach.

Known from TV hits such as Moose TV, Bottoms Up and Skinwalker (no, we've never heard of him either), Beach is apparently "one of the only high-profile Native America supers", which is particularly fitting for the role, especially after having provided his voice for Turok in a separate new animated movie, Turok: Son of Stone.

He describes the opportunity to play a fellow Native American as a "dream", according to MTV. "He's the first Native American superhero that I ever looked up to," said Beach.

"He basically [comes from] a family where they're protecting our universe from an alternate universe that wants to take it over. He uses his wits, and his might, and his special bow and arrow to take over the world."

Except no-one uses the bow, Beach. It's all about the Quad Rocket Launcher. Oh, and the brain-drilling Cerebral Bore. Don't forget that one.

Because Propaganda Games certainly did when they developed "Next Gen" Turok. The jackasses. Mind you, they also forgot gameplay, a decent control system and story.

Edit: Lousy double post.

Actually i loved using the bow in Turok 1 (yes i have that one), it was one of the few weapons on the PC version that could reliably shoot out the jugular of an opponent, those animations were quite fun Razz But yeah, for the rest it was the launcher most of the time. Very Happy

Turok 1 was, and still is, a quality game. Shame the rest have been p**s poor.

I very much doubt this actor fellow has ever 'looked up to turok'. He probably just played the games and thought they were s**t like the rest of us (except the first one)

The first game was fantastic. I am not keen on the rest. As for a movie. I don't care either. I guess that they think it will probably be s**t and it won't p**s too many fans off cos there aint that many anyway.

Adam Beach is actually a Canadian actor (born in Canada and acts there as well). But you are right.. he does act in the US as well.
