Fatal Inertia hits PSN next week - no trophies

Koei's racer finally skids to PS3
The downloadable PSN version of 360 racer Fatal Inertia will be out on PSN next week, July 15, developer Koei has confirmed.

The 15 quid 'Ex' version of the futuristic racer was released in the US last month, and sports "new features and gameplay tweaks," says Koei, including changes to the game's difficulty which was criticised as being too high in the 360 version.

To help solve the issue, Fatal Inertia Ex includes a training venue with eight new tracks that should help train up rookie racers, so you can all stop moaning now.

There are no trophies to be won though, with a Koei rep telling us: "The addition of trophies to PS3 games was just too late for the development team to have time to include them before it was finished."

They shouldn't have released it yet if they were unable to incorporate trophies. Surely they knew something was in the works.

I'm just going to wait till Wipeout now.

Don't care. Where's WipeOut HD?

They shouldn't have released it

You could have just finished the sentence there. The game is, judging by the 360 version, a steaming pile of turd.

Come ON, WipEout HD!

I've actually played both versions (PS3 version from the Japanese store - the whole game's in English oddly) the 360 version is far too difficult, ludicrously complex tracks which are easy to get lost in, uglier, and suffers from frame-rate issues compared to the PS3 version.

Now it's on PSN, there's an improvement in graphics, improvement in handling, improvement in difficulty balancing, and altered tracks which make it easy to navigate. The training mode is good too, and shows you all about using the weapons and how to race effectively in each racing mode, I hated the 360 version, but tbh I really like what it's turned into on PS3. Smile

£15 is worth it for the better version. I've seen the 360 version struggle to sell at £6 in second hand shops...
