2K has revealed new information about an exclusive option for the PS3 version of BioShock called Survivor mode.
In the new difficulty level, each enemy is tougher and deals more damage, whilst Vita-Chambers get you less EVE back.
The idea is to create a gameplay mode where every resource is a precious commodity, and to challenge players to come up with the most creative solutions to solving problems.
As already stated, Vita-Chambers will still be enabled, but 2K has said the ultimate challenge will be to beat Survivor Mode with them disabled.
A trophy for doing just that has already been confirmed.
mhhhh, Bioshock was my most favourite game last year and if there is more content to be revealed I might be playing it again for billionth time...and sell my xbox360 version.
Titles a bit misleading, says 'details' only to say a new difficulty is playable and that a trophy will be obtained by completeing it on the new difficulty without Vitachambers.
I Was expecting a new part of the game from the title
whatever is release maybe available on Xbox Live via DLC. but my problem is I played this game 12 months ago. but the time the PS3 version is ready, the new Bioshock 2 will be out on the 360.
this game is old!.......honestly, who's going to buy this?. everyone I know has already played it on the 360.
I'll just wait for Bioshock 2
everyone you know is not everyone.
Yeah, not everyone owns all consoles and has money to burn and/or wipe their ass with. I'll definitely be getting it! As far as I'm concerned, it's just good that Bioshock's made it's way over to PS3! Just do it sooner with the second one, eh? Wish we'd got Dead Rising too, though...
If they add extra content like a new area i'd be interested, just finished the 360 version so i've got no urge to get back into rapture right now, the next bioshock will be ace though and hopefully will releases on all platforms so no-one gets to miss out on a great game!!!
I really don't like it when publishers/developers give more features to those who never bought the game in the first place. Its like spitting in the face of the people who rushed out to get it on release for the 360. Quite a few other games do this, aswell. If your going to port a game, port it, don't give them extra features aswell and take a big fat dump on my doorstep

A new area has already been shown in the PS3 trailer and screenshots: a carnival/funfair type place.
Will be good for PS3 owners to get their hands on this game as I thought it was brilliant. Felt really innovative and fresh when I played it for the first time. While it might have been out for a while on the 360, it doesn't make the game old, it'll still easily hold its own with any game released now.
