Wii Music dated for US

Pretend music tool due next month
Wii Music - the music game that basically plays itself - will be out in US on October 20.

This date, according to several reports, comes directly from Nintendo of America. We're awaiting word on a UK release from Nintendo UK.

The music tool plays a series of pre-determined notes each time the user waggles the Remote or presses a button, depending on the instrument chosen, but completely indiscriminate of how the Remote is waved or which button is pressed.

There are over 60 'instruments', if you count a barking dog as an instrument, and over 50 tunes, including recognisable melodies from Nintendo's history.

Sweet home Alabama....my girlfriend actually mentioned this the other day.

I really, really don't like the sound of this at all.

It might be interesting to see how it does sales-wise though - I'm thinking that it'll either be another Wii Fit or an absolute stinker that bombs quicker than a CD32 Chess game.

Sounds nasty, but I want this to bomb. Maybe then, they will get to work on some games that we want to see.

I'll be very interested to see how this sells - I've not spoken to one person that even considers it 'vaguely interesting'.
