The gate opens for closed beta testers on Oct. 15. Here's how it works.

Beta sign ups are live at 'register.stargateworlds.com/Registration/' and more and more testers will be invited to sign up over time. So if you don't win, first time round, hang in there. You may get plucked from normality at a later date.

"From now until launch, everything we do is about polish and fun," said studio Dan Elggren. "We've laid a great foundation for the beta testers and their feedback is a vital part of the game development process."

Hopefully the beta will fare better than the website. Managed to create account and activate it since then all I get is page cannot be displayed. Laughing

Ha. But seriously, that game doesn't look like its going to be anything special, unfortunately. You can just tell by looking at screenshots sometimes, and I have a feeling about this one.....

im not gonna judge it based off the screen shots atm, these shots though are not the best for showing off the game, hmm wonder if ill get into the beta lol. I bet i will right when i start doing my exams, hmmm exams.... stargate... exams, stargate >.< damn hard choice lol

I do like Stargate and that but I am a bit iffy about the game. Can we dial the gate and walk through yourself? Or is it all animated?

personally i'm really excited about this one. it'll be great to see a solid sci-fi IP actually get turned into a finished product and *not* have it turned into a tragic SOE grind fest...

..of course if the KOTOR MMO sees the light of day, oh man *drool* Razz
