New Halo, Shadow Complex and Gears... on cards

Jobs board hints at lots of exciting developments at Microsoft Game Studios
A flood of new job adverts on Develop has revealed that Microsoft Game Studios is looking for new talent to "help breathe a fresh vision into a new Halo experience" and "to drive the success of Gears Of War and Shadow Complex".

While it's inevitable that MGS would be expanding on the Halo and Gears Of War universes - in whatever guise - seeing such ambitions in operation has still put a big smile on our chops.

Plus, the Xbox Live Arcade's Shadow Complex was a rather brilliant game, so further additions to that series could well see a celebratory pint being raised at lunchtime. Is there anything else to left to say at this stage. Not really, so fill in any blanks yourself, in the comments field below!

Awesome news regarding Shadow Complex, it's only beaten by the GTA expansions as the best DLC on 360 IMO.

Really looking forward to what 343 Studios come up with for the Halo universe, as they've got some good talent there already.

As usual, none of it is very surprising. It's like Sony saying that there will be a Uncharted 3 or Killzone 3.

Yes, we know. Please talk about it when you have something to show us. That goes for both companies and all sites, including you CVG.

Thanks.

Oh and btw, I will probably have a (MAJOR SPOILER!!!!) tuna sandwich sometime in 2011.

Yeah, im really interested to see what 343 come up with in regards to Halo, they have quite a few talented people that were headhunted from some very big hitters.

I would hope that this also puts the Gears to PS3 rumours to bed if MS are helping Epic with the development and production of the next installment then I cant see that appearing on Sonys machine.

And as for Shadow Complex, more of the same please. A gem of a downloadable Game!

I don't think Gears would be that successful on the PS3 anyway. I reckon most folk interested in the game will have already bought a 360, me included. That goes for Uncharted on PS3 too.

What interests me the most are new, exciting IP's, like Alan Wake and Heavy Rain. Those types of games help build up a new customer base, rather than sequel after sequel.

Your probably right but hopefully this puts any rumours to bed, cant stand these rumours much like MGS4 or Mass Effect ones.

Mos Def agree on the new IP's and Ihop (no im sure) that both Alan Wake and Heavy Rain are going to be stand out tiles next year. Also, check out the twtter feed at the top of the page: Heavy Rain preview in the house! When?

Yeah, those rumours get on my nerves too. The Mass Effect will it/won't it rumour is almost at MGS4 levels of absurdity now. I wish folk would give it a rest.

Anyway, like you said, where is this Heavy Rain preview?
Mark240473 on 20 Nov '09
i think MS own the gears ip so it won't see the light of day on PS3.

As for Heavy Rain and Alan Wake, my gut feeling is that both titles are going to be underwhelming, they've been dragging on so long now. i hope i'm wrong of course.
